Skaters and spectators understand and agree to the following:
Skating in a manner that endangers or interferes with other skater’s safety or pleasure is strictly forbidden
Roughness, excessive speeding, skating against the crowd or weaving through other skaters is prohibited
Abusive behavior and language will not be tolerated
No person is permitted on the ice without skates
No eating, drinking, or chewing tobacco, is permitted on the ice surface, players benches, penalty boxes and the locker rooms
No horseplay while on the ice. This includes TAG, chain skating, throwing snowballs, racing and intentionally sliding
Skaters are not allowed to carry children or secondary items such as cameras, handbags, strollers, carts, sleds, chairs and any training device while on the ice during open skate sessions
Guests are not allowed to walk with skates on areas not covered by rubber matting
Skaters are not allowed to sit on or climb over dasher boards
Kicking holes, chipping, or gouging in the ice is strictly forbidden
Hockey sticks and pucks are not allowed on the ice during open skates.
Center ice, inside the blue circle is reserved for jumps and spins unless crowd size poses a safety issue. Figure skaters using the center of the rink during open skates should be aware of beginners and exercise caution doing jumps and spins
No one is allowed on the ice while the resurfacer is in operation
Shooting, passing, stickhandling, and use of hockey pucks/balls anywhere other that the ice surface is strictly forbidden. Pucks/balls will be confiscated
Smoking is not allowed on the premises/Skateboards, razor scooters, rollerblades & bicycles are not allowed inside the rink
No dogs (except Service Animals/Seeing Eye dogs) or pets of any kind are permitted in the arena
Persons who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances are not permitted in the arena
The ice rink is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles. Lost and found storage is located at the front desk. Items will be retained for 15 days. Lost water bottles, socks, towels, and other frequently abandoned or lost items will not be retained
“Pitch In” and deposit all trash in the receptacles provided. We are proud of our facility. PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED
As the use of an ice skating rink and all its facilities have an inherent risk, any participation is totally at the users own risk, any participation is totally at the users own risk. No responsibility is accepted or undertaken for the well being of either the user or their property. The management reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to refuse admission or remove from the premises anyone not abiding by the rules.
• Public Open Skate: Recreational skating for all ages and abilities. Open skates will be limited to 150 people on the ice.
•Wake N’ Skate: Early morning recreational skating for all ages and abilities.
•Adult Open Skate:Recreational skating for those 18 years of age or older and of all skating abilities.
•Youth Open Skate: Recreational skating for those under 18 years of age. Adults are allowed on ice when accompanied by a child.
•Family Skate Fee: This is available during Open Skates only. Payment includes admission for 2 adults and up to 4 children & includes skate rental.
•Parent/Tot open Skate: Recreational skating for parents/caregivers and toddlers. Toddlers must be ages 5 and under. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at a maximum ratio of 2 children per one adult. No hockey sticks or pucks allowed
•Freestyle Skate: Drop-in practice ice for development of more advanced figure skaters turns, jumps, spins, program run-thrus, ice dance steps and patterns.
•Pond Hockey: Drop-in hockey. To insure enough playing time, this skate is restricted to 26 participants and 4 goaltenders. A HECC (Hockey Equipment Certification Council) approved helmet, hockey gloves, breezers, shin pads, elbow pads, and hockey skates are required. *No slap slots or checking are allowed.
•Stick N’ Puck: Drop-in skills development only practice session. Focusing on practicing the fundamentals of hockey. There will be absolutely no game play. Full gear is required for all participants, 18 and under need to have full face shield .There will be a max of 30 skaters plus 4 goalies.
•Facility Rental: The arena may be privately rented. ◦ Prime Time: 5pm-midnight Mon-Fri & 6am-10pm Sat and Sun $240.00/hour plus tax
◦Non Prime: 6am-5pm Mon-Fri & 10pm-Midnight $155.00/hour plus tax
◦School Groups: Tuesday’s & Thursday’s 9:45-10:45am or 11:00-12:00 Thursday’s 11:00-12:00 only (includes skates and helmets) $105.00/no tax required
◦Facility rentals do not include skate rentals. Rentals must be paid in full at the Arena, reservations can not be made over the phone.
•Ice Time: Rentals are for ice time only, the public is allowed in the lobby and seating area during and rental time.
•JDIA: Juneau Douglas Ice Association- Youth Hockey programs.
• JAHA: Juneau Adult Hockey Association- Adult recreational hockey league.
•JSC: Juneau Skating Club- basic skating skills classes for all ages. Figure skating, power and conditioning and ice dancing.
