CBJ’s Hazardous Waste Facility closed August 6th , 7th and 8th
The City and Borough of Juneau’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be closed this week to business and residential drop-off. The public is encouraged to store any hazardous waste in a safe manner until the drop-off service resumes next week.
Household Hazardous Waste new social distance protocol
Please note the following:
1. All users of HHW must remain in their vehicles at all times.
2. HHW should be stored in the rear-most part of the vehicle (truck bed, trunk, rear hatch).
HHW staff will remove the material from the vehicle.
3. Containers will not be returned, so use something disposable such as a cardboard box to
store the HHW for transport.
4. Businesses must call 780-6691 to make an appointment for HHW drop-off. Leave a
message with your business name, contact info, and a brief description of the material
to be dropped off. Staff will return phone calls to schedule the appointments. Further
instructions on the process will be provided at that time.
