People of CBJ: Jannelle Pine

March 31, 2020 – News

“A lot of people that I’ve talked to have been thankful that we’re here doing this. It just feels good to know that our presence in the community is able to help people feel safe.”

Jannelle Pine works for Capital City Fire/Rescue to help screen arriving passengers at Juneau International Airport. She asks them about their health and close contacts, takes their temperature, and answers questions about quarantine. Jannelle has been a volunteer with CCFR since September 2019 and is currently enrolled in Firefighter I and EMT I classes: “When I got involved with the EMS world a little over 6 months ago, it started a fire in me and it’s something that I really and truly feel is meant for me.”
