Older Juneau residents encouraged to take 2020 Senior Survey

The Juneau Commission on Aging (JCOA), in conjunction with the City and Borough of Juneau, is conducting a survey of older Juneau residents to help local officials and care providers gain a better sense of what’s needed for Juneau’s population to age in place. If you are 55 or older, now is your opportunity to influence what services could be available to you when you need them.

The senior survey is available online. Paper copies are also available at all three branches of the Juneau Public Libraries and Clerk’s Office in City Hall. JCOA will also be visiting senior centers and other locations to assist seniors in completing the survey. It takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. Take the survey now.

The senior survey is done every 10 years; the last one was completed in 2010. Read the final report on the 2010 survey here. Some of this year’s survey questions are the same as in previous surveys for comparison purposes. Some questions are new to reflect changes in CBJ demographics and services.
