CBJ Policy & Code

It is the policy of the CBJ to eliminate unlawful discrimination.  The CBJ has an administrative policy and an equal rights ordinance that provide detail on our anti-discrimination practices:

The CBJ also has a Human Rights Commission which has an educational and advisory role in eliminating discrimination.

Federal and State Agencies

The U.S. and Alaska State Governments have agencies that oversee and enforce equal opportunity in employment and human rights laws.  You can find information about those agencies here:

CBJ Liaison

The Deputy City Manager is the city’s liaison to community groups representing the interests of individuals covered by the CBJ Equal Rights ordinance who have questions or concerns related to municipal services.
