On 12/16/2021, participants of the Fall 2021 Citizen's Police Academy, completed their 8-week long introductory journey into the workings of the Juneau Police Departments. Academy participants met weekly at the Police Department to learn various topics ranging from recruitment, arrest laws, search & seizure, specialty units, use of force, police ethics and many more. They were able to use the firearms simulator and participant in our ride along program, where they got to go out on calls with uniformed officers. The Juneau Police Department would like to thank everyone who participated and we look forward to seeing new faces during our next Citizen's Academy.
