On 10/17/2021, at about 2:23 AM, a 49-year-old male reported his 38-year-old girlfriend was missing from the area of National Park Service Road, where they reside. The complainant reported his girlfriend had gone for a walk about three hours ago and hadn't returned. He went looking for her and located her dog and some of her clothing at the dock off of Indian Cove Drive. The complainant was concerned that the 38-year-old female may have decided to go swimming.
JPD responded to the area and requested assistance from the USCG in searching the water near the docks. Around 4:20 AM, USCG located the deceased body of the 38-year-old female, in the water, about 100 yards from the Indian Cove dock.
The 38-year-old female has been identified as Anna Loren Foltz. Next of kin has been notified. The body of Foltz will be sent to the Alaska Medical Examiners officer for an autopsy.
This case is currently under investigation.
