Subject: 32-year-old Female Arrested for Terroristic Threatening

Summary:

On 04/16/20, at 8:25 PM, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance inside a building, located in the 300 block of Whittier Street. Officers contacted 32-year-old Juneau resident, Angela Marcy Bell. Bell had been involved in a physical altercation with other patrons within the building and was being trespassed by staff. Bell refused to leave the area and became aggressive towards the officers. Bell had to be physically restrained while being placed under arrest for criminal trespass. Following the arrest, Bell made threatening statements regarding a circumstance that was deemed to be dangerous to human life.

The statements made by Bell are believed to be false and there does not appear to be an danger to the officers involved, or the community.

Bell was additionally charged with one count of terroristic threatening in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, and resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor.

Bell was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.

Alcohol appears to be a factor in this incident.
