Case or Incident: #190529-001

On May 29th at around 12:40am, JPD received a call from an alarm company reporting an intrusion alarm at the Airport Heritage Coffee Shop. An officer was on bike patrol nearby and contacted two subjects within minutes of receiving the call. Those subjects were detained.

Other officers responded to the business and located an open door. The door appeared to have pry marks on it and the cash register was damaged. An employee of Heritage responded to the scene and estimated that $600 total damage had been conducted to the door and cash register. There did not appear to be any property or money missing from the business.

The investigation revealed that one of the detained subjects, 29 year old Corey Chad Everett Thompson had been inside the business. Thompson was arrested for Burglary in the 2nd degree and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree. He was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center where he was held without bail.
