On 11/30/2017, at approximately 9:50 PM, the Juneau Police Department received a 911 call from a resident in the area of 3600 block of Amalga Street. The caller reported hearing a disturbance in an adjacent apartment.
Officers from the Juneau Police Department arrived at the apartment where the disturbance was reported and contacted 29 year old Juneau resident Ryan Williams. Officers entered the residence and discovered signs that an altercation had occurred. Officers located a 29 year old female victim, who had substantial injuries to her face and head. The injuries are alleged to have been committed by Ryan Williams, during an assault of domestic violence.
The 29 year old female victim was transported to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for medical treatment and evaluation. The female?s injuries are serious, but are not considered life threatening.
Ryan Williams was placed under arrest for Assault 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Assault 1st Degree is a class A felony offense, while Assault 3rd Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence are both class C felony offenses.
Ryan Williams was ultimately transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.
Alcohol appears to be a factor in this case.
