On 11/15/2017, at approximately 4:15 AM, the Juneau Police Department was notified by the Bartlett Regional Hospital that a female arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound. Officers responded to the emergency room and contacted the female, a 23 year old Juneau resident.
The investigation revealed that the female has sustained one gunshot wound to her right leg. The female reported that she had accidently shot herself while alone in her vehicle. The firearm was located in her vehicle and seized as evidence.
The investigation is continuing.
