INFORMATION RELEASE

Subject: Assault 3rd Degree
Date: 2017-09-21
From: Lieutenant David Campbell
Case or Incident: #170921-002
Summary:

On 09/21/2017, at approximately 12:17 AM, the Juneau Police Department received a report that a male was bleeding inside a residence located in the 8900 block of Birch Lane. JPD officers arrived and contacted a 54-year-old male Juneau resident who had one cut on his torso and one cut on his left arm. Paramedics from the Capital City Fire Rescue transported the 54-year-old male victim to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation revealed that the male victim and 52-year-old Juneau resident David Frank Rose got into a fight over a female, described as a 26-year-old Juneau resident. It is alleged that Rose cut the male victim with a box cutter during the fight.

David Rose was arrested for Assault in the 3rd Degree. Rose was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on no bail.

Alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in this incident.

The investigation is continuing.

All factual allegations contained in this release are based upon preliminary investigation and are subject to change or clarification as the investigation continues.
