JPD received a report of an emotionally disturbed man, who may have jumped from a vehicle. A JPD officer arrived in the area and contacted the man who was walking on the sidewalk.
The officer tried to speak with the man to ascertain what the problem was. The man was very agitated, and appeared to be suffering from a mental illness. The man became aggressive and advanced on the officer, and he was tased. The man was taken into protective custody.
CCFR and EMS arrived to care for the man, and he was later taken to BRH for a medical exam. The man sustained only minor injuries.
