The Dimond Park Aquatic Center’s Annual Pool closure will take place starting Monday, April 29th with an anticipated reopen date of Monday, May 6th.
The Augustus Brown Swimming pool will be open this week and would love to have you out for a swim! Check out their scheduled swims for availability! Remember, your membership provides you access to both of our facilities!
Augustus Brown Pool ANNUAL POOL CLOSURE 2019
The Augustus Brown Pool’s Annual Pool closure will take place from Sunday, June 2nd with an anticipated reopen date of Monday, June 10th.
The Dimond Park Aquatic Center will be open during this time and would love to have you out for a swim! Check out their scheduled swims for availability! Remember, your membership provides access to both of our facilities!
APOA’s 8th Annual Sprint Triathlon
Event will start at 7:00 a.m. at the Dimond Park Aquatic Center Swimming Pool. The bicycle staging area will be open by 5:00 a.m.. Please be at the pool for check in by 6:00 and final race instructions at 06:30 a.m. Sprint event consists of three legs. Each participant or team member will be required to complete each leg before the participant or other team member moves to the next leg. Overall race time will be logged as well as finish times for each leg.
The following are the distances for each leg:
Swim: 500 yards (10 laps, 20 pool lengths)
Bike: 12.5 miles
Run: 3.1 miles (5 K)
*Participants must be fourteen years of age or older to participate as an individual. A participant between ten and fourteen years of age may participate in one leg of team division.
The competitive division is for those athletes who want the feel of racing each other. Competitors will share a swim lane and start first.
The sport division will start second and is for those wanting an individual swim lane and are racing to do their best. This division is recommended for those enjoying his or her first triathlon and anyone wanting a low pressure environment.
The team division will follow the sport division and can accommodate two or three athletes who divide and conquer the course. This is a good option for those having to adapt to injuries.
Entry Fee: A minimum donation of $50 per participant will be collected for individual competitors and $25 for team competitors.
Prizes will be awarded for fastest team, and for men and women in different age categories. Medals will be distributed after the race.
