What’s happening on CBJ parks/trails on August 4th

• Juneau Freewheelers Bicycle Club – Douglas Dirt Derby

Savikko Park and the Treadwell Historic Trail area will be in use by the Juneau Freewheelers Bicycle Club for a youth bike ride and race from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018. The race will start in the Savikko Park parking lot and proceed to a series of loops on the Treadwell Mine Historic Trail. Volunteers will post signs before the race to notify hikers of the event. During the race, volunteers will be stationed at key intersections of the trail to monitor the riders and help with safety. • Aukeman Sprint Triathlon

The Auke Lake boat launch, wayside parking lot and Auke Lake Trail will be in use from 6:00 am – 12:00 pm this Saturday, August 4, for the Aukeman Sprint Triathlon. Please note, on Friday, August 3, additional buoys will be placed in Auke Lake prior to the event. For information about the event contact Liz Johnston at 957-6914.
