Tree removal at Adair-Kennedy Park starting May 9

Starting Wednesday May 9, a contractor for City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation will begin clearing trees within Adair-Kennedy Park. A work crew will be removing limbs and trees in various areas of the park over the next four to six weeks. The public should exercise caution when using the park.

The tree removal is part of the first phase of Parks and Recreation’s Adair-Kennedy Park Master Plan, which was completed in January 2017. The tree removal addresses security, lighting and field maintenance issues.

Please use caution when using the park and be on the lookout for signs indicating areas that are closed off.
