Take the Parks & Rec youth and senior activities survey

October 10, 2017 – News, Notices for Public Comment

The City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation Department is seeking community input on youth and senior activities through an online survey. The input will help provide Parks & Recreation with feedback on current programming as well as specifics on what the community would like to see more of regarding youth and senior activities.

The effort is part of the Parks & Recreation master planning process, which kicked off in 2016 with a series of public meetings, phone and online public surveys, and online engagement. The process is scheduled to wrap up in 2018 and, when complete, the Master Plan will make recommendations for the next 10 to 20 years of parks and recreation in Juneau. This survey on youth and senior activities is a follow-up to previous outreach efforts.

Parks & Recreation currently offers a variety of outdoor, afterschool, summer and early childhood programs for youth. For seniors, Parks & Recreation offers aquatic fitness classes.
