July 10, 2020 – News

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) begins free COVID-19 asymptomatic testing in Juneau for Tribal beneficiaries July 11, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, July 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Testing will take place at the Empire Building parking lot. No appointment is necessary. Weekend asymptomatic testing for Tribal beneficiaries will be available through December. SEARHC is also starting free asymptomatic testing today in Wrangell and Sitka to all community members, and will expand to other communities later in the month.

Expanded community testing is being made possible by a grant from Indian Health Services. SEARHC will offer free testing on weekends and utilize alternate testing sites in each service community. The testing type will be self-swab nasal collection and staff will be available at the testing sites to instruct and answer questions.
