Planning Commission meets April 24. Here’s how to weigh in.

April 17, 2018 – Notices for Public Comment

The City and Borough of Juneau Planning Commission meets on April 24, 7 p.m. in City Hall Assembly Chambers to review the 2019 CBJ Capital Improvement Program as well as a CBJ proposal to lease property for use as a parking lot. Both of these items are up for public hearing.

Planning Commission review of the 2019 Capital Improvement Program (CSP2018 0003)

The Draft Capital Improvement Program (CIP) will be reviewed by the Planning Commission to ensure the proposed projects are consistent with the goals of the Comprehensive Plan.  A Planning Commission recommendation on the draft will then be provided to the Assembly when the City Manager presents the CIP project priorities for Assembly funding approval.

A proposal to lease property for continued use as a parking lot (CSP2018 0004)

The CBJ Lands & Resources Division requests to lease to the State of Alaska a portion of the Develop Juneau Now property at the sub port, across from Centennial Hall, for continued use as a parking lot. This proposal needs to be recommended by the Planning Commission for approval by the Assembly.
