Paving on Douglas Highway continues for Wednesday, Aug. 21

August 21, 2019 – FYI

City and Borough of Juneau contractor Admiralty Construction plans to continue paving parts of Douglas Highway today, August 21. Paving operations will be focused at the intersection crossings of David and John streets, and then on sidewalk patches. The public should expect longer than normal delays.

Construction work will take place 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with paving operations taking place approximately 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admiralty Construction will have two lanes open today. During paving operations, traffic in both lanes will periodically be completely stopped for about 10-15 minutes each time. Please plan for longer than normal delays.

For the rest of the week, Admiralty will return to its standard operation of working 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with only one lane of traffic open, except between peak traffic hours of 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. when two lanes are open.
