Overstreet Park plaza closed Wednesday, May 30

The plaza at the City and Borough of Juneau’s Mayor Bill Overstreet Park, located at the ends of W 8th and W 9th streets near the Juneau-Douglas Bridge, will be closed Wednesday, May 30, for construction work. The Tahku whale fountain will not be operating and the plaza will be roped off. CBJ contractor Admiralty Construction is doing the final sealant on the concrete.
The fountain and park will be back open to the public and operational as normal on Thursday, May 31. CBJ apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
