Opening day at Eaglecrest is Dec. 2

November 29, 2017 – News

Eaglecrest Ski Area will open the Porcupine Chair and the Lower Nordic Trails for the season on Saturday, December 2. The Lower Nordic Trails will be packed and track set.

The Porcupine Chair will operate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Rental Shop will be open and the Snowsports School will be offering lessons; call 907-790-2000 ext. 211 for lesson reservations. The Eaglecrest Grill and Mountain Lift Coffee will be open.

The Hooter, Ptarmigan and Black Bear Chairs will not be open and the Snow Bus will not operate. As the snow continues to fall, the Mountain Operations team will be working hard to get the rest of the mountain open. Condition updates can be found at skijuneau.com.

“This is a great opportunity to get out on the snow, get back on your gear and make some turns,” said Jeffra Clough, Director of Sales/Marketing & Snowsports School. “If you are new to the sport, make the most of your winter, come up and take a lesson!”

Starting Saturday, Dec. 2, dogs are not allowed anywhere on the mountain or the lower Nordic Trails during operating hours. This is for the safety of the dogs as well as guests.

It is winter on the mountain and Eaglecrest is excited for the upcoming season. For everything Eaglecrest visit skijuneau.com; or find Eaglecrest on social media by searching @SkiJuneau or @Eaglecrest on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.
