Minimizing coronavirus spread in State offices: Juneau Assembly urges Governor to do more

March 27, 2020 – News

The City and Borough of Juneau Assembly is urging Governor Mike Dunleavy to do more when it comes to minimizing the spread of coronavirus in State of Alaska office buildings and facilities.

During a Special Assembly Meeting last night, the Assembly passed a motion to send a letter to the Governor urging him to implement additional policies and procedures to minimize the risk of transmission of coronavirus in state facilities and to maximize the number of people working from home. The State of Alaska employs around 15,000 people in various communities throughout Alaska.

The letter will be sent to the Governor today.
