Douglas Highway construction update for Aug. 14-17

City and Borough of Juneau contractor Admiralty Construction is working on installing a water main across the Douglas Highway near John Street today, August 14. Due to this work, traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for the rest of the day, including 4:30-5:30 p.m. Drivers may experience longer than usual delays during high volume times. Starting tomorrow, August 15, Admiralty will go back to making two lanes open to vehicles 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. and again from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

This Friday and Saturday, August 16 and 17, Admiralty Construction will be working along the edges of Douglas Highway. Both lanes of traffic will be open for most of the day and traffic delays will be minimal.

Admiralty Construction works from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Drivers are asked to please watch for workers and equipment.
