Capital View Court to close June 12 as part of Douglas Hwy construction project

As part of City and Borough of Juneau’s Douglas Highway Water Main Replacement Project Phase II, CBJ contractor Glacier State Contractors will be closing Capital View Court at the intersection of Douglas Highway on Friday, June 12. H Street will serve as the detour route.
Capital View Court may be intermittently closed a few more times over the next couple of weeks. In addition to traffic signs, Glacier State Contractors’ message board near the Douglas Bridge will also be updated to reflect the closures. The closures will allow for the installation of a temporary water line, installation of the new water line, and replacement of asphalt.
