Calhoun Ave overpass to close for stairway replacement project
The Calhoun Avenue stairway that leads to the pedestrian overpass near the State Office Building is getting replaced. City and Borough of Juneau contractor Carver Construction plans to begin work downtown this week. Starting Monday, Oct. 2, the stairs and the overpass will be closed for about two weeks. Some night work will take place to avoid daytime traffic issues.
