Mila Cosgrove was named deputy city manager in January 2016. Prior to her appointment, she worked in the human resources field for over 30 years – nine of those years as the City and Borough of Juneau’s Human Resources and Risk Management director. She is a graduate of the Pacific Program for Catalytic Leadership and holds a BA in Psychology from the Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado.
During her career, Mila has held positions in both the private and public sectors. In addition to working for the CBJ, Mila has held positions locally with the Alaska Public Employees Association as the Southeast regional manager, and with the State of Alaska, as a personnel specialist, labor relations specialist, workforce planning and development manager, management services manager, and director of Personnel.
