Enjoy Local Music at the City Museum for Museum Day September 21

The City Museum will open its doors free of charge to all Museum Day ticket holders on Saturday September 21 as part of Smithsonian magazine’s 15th annual Museum Day, a national celebration in which participating museums emulate the free admission policy at the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington D.C.-based museums. Museum Day tickets are available for download at Smithsonian.com/museumday. Visitors who present a Museum Day ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues on September 21. One ticket is permitted per email address.

Enjoy live music in the City Museum throughout the day in honor of Smithsonian Year of Music 2019. This is not a seated event but music may be enjoyed informally while viewing the City Museum’s exhibits. Performers include Mark Whitman on flute and strings; Hetty Barthel and John Cooper viola duets; and Tom Locher on piano.
