The Rhythm of Winter: What We Do in the Dark and Cold May 3 through October 18

Opening Reception: May 3rd, 4:30-7:00pm

This summer, the City Museum will seek to answer a frequently asked question by our summer visitors:

“What is it like to live here in winter?” In response, the exhibition, The Rhythm of Winter: What We Do in the Cold and Dark will illustrate the history of the indomitable Juneau spirit by showcasing what we do in winter, past and present. Historically, Juneauites strive to find joy in all manner of activities from outdoor sports, such as skiing and ice skating, to indoor activities, like basketball and theater.

Come visit the Juneau-Douglas City Museum this summer for a snapshot of how our Juneau community spirit brings us together and sustains us through the long winter months.
