Free Admission for Museum Day on September 22nd

The Juneau-Douglas City Museum will open its doors free of charge all day on Saturday September 22nd, 2018 as part of Smithsonian magazine's 14th annual Museum Day, a national celebration in which participating museums emulate the free admission policy at the Smithsonian Institution's Washington DC-based museums.

The theme of this year's Museum Day is Women Making History, honoring women in society who are trailblazers in the arts, sciences, innovation and culture. The City Museum will be open from 10:00am to 4:30pm and from 10:30 to noon will be hosting a book signing of Walter Harper: Alaska Native Son with Author, Mary Ehrlander.
