The Juneau History Grant
The mission of the Juneau History Grant (JHG) is to support and encourage research, learning, dissemination, recording and archiving of all types of information pertaining to the human history of the City and Borough of Juneau.
Each year students, teachers, organizations and individuals of all ages are encouraged to apply for funding to assist them in the completion of a project which will further the community’s knowledge of Juneau history. Examples of projects include: live performances, public presentations, recordings or videotapes, publications or digital files.
JHG funds are made possible by an endowment from the Juneau Centennial Committee. The grant is administered by the Museum and an advisory committee comprised of local community members with particular interest and/or expertise in Juneau history projects and research. The committee will read and judge proposed projects, on a quarterly basis, based on the criteria listed in the JHG Application Instructions.
The Juneau History Grant is closed until the end of 2018. Please check back in 2019 for possible grant opportunities.
