Lands & Resource Manager

Partially Exempt 40 hours per week $89,772.80 - $105,726.40 Annually (DOQ)

Information

The Lands & Resources Manager, consistent with Assembly direction and sound public policy, is responsible for the management, development, and conservation of City land and resources.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Natural Resource Management, Urban or Regional Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, Public Administration or a closely related field.

 

Candidates should have a minimum of four years of experience managing public programs a component of which includes responsibilities for the acquisition, conservation, leasing, sale, use and development of lands and resources. Four years of experience with direct staff supervision (may be gained concurrently with the management experience).

Special Note: The successful candidate must be able to travel to various locations within the City and Borough of Juneau to meet program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business, maintenance of a valid Alaska driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required.

Note: The Lands and Resource Manager is within the partially exempt service and serves at the pleasure of the City Manager. Applications received are subject to public disclosure.
