We have received about 2mm of precip at the Mt Roberts Tram Summit which deposited about 2cm of new snow. (just under an inch or .8\")

Winds are moderate along the channel as well with the tram averaging 15 gusting 20 out of the SSE.

This continues to cross load our starting zones and deposit weaker snows the gullies.

The forecast only calls for .1\" of precip in the next 24 hours.

With very little new snow over the last several days and near freezing temperatures the snowpack is mostly strong.

We did develop some wind slabs during the last snow event. Danger in the urban environment is LOW. With winds picking up tonight into tomorrow we may see some increased loading and danger. But with so very little snow on the ground and in the forecast avalanche danger will probably remain low.

Another thing to look for in the region where you play is Glide Avalanches. There have been a lot of glide cracks opening up around the region and many of these slopes have slid to the ground.

The Berhands avalanche path has several glide cracks opening up as well and did have one slide out. But they are so low on our starting zones there is not enough snow below them to create danger.

Be aware in the backcountry these slopes with cracks and history of glide avalanches are ones to be avoided.

Tip:

Glide Avalanches are very hard to predict and understand. Here is some more great information for you.
