The National Weather Service Forecasts-

TODAY...INCREASING CLOUDS. LOCALLY WINDY. RAIN DEVELOPING IN THE AFTERNOON. RAIN MIXED WITH SNOW AT TIMES IN THE MENDENHALL VALLEY. LITTLE OR NO SNOW ACCUMULATION. HIGHS AROUND 35. LIGHT WINDS BECOMING NORTHEAST 10 MPH IN THE MORNING. NEAR DOWNTOWN JUNEAU AND DOUGLAS...NORTHEAST WIND 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH DIMINISHING IN THE AFTERNOON.

TONIGHT...MOSTLY CLOUDY. CHANCE OF RAIN AND SNOW. LOWS 23 TO 31. NORTHEAST WIND 10 TO 20 MPH.

.SUNDAY...LOCALLY WINDY. INCREASING CLOUDS. HIGHS AROUND 33 TO 38. EAST WIND 10 MPH. NEAR DOWNTOWN JUNEAU AND DOUGLAS...NORTHEAST WIND 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 40 MPH.

Yesterday's near freezing temps and helped much of the snowpack to stabilize. Be aware that wind loading has occurred in places and continues to at upper elevations.

Avalanche danger is low to moderate today with only very minor wind slab danger at upper elevations. Natural avalanches are unlikely but I imagine human triggered avalanches may be possible on very isolated aspects.
