The National Weather Service Forecasts-

Today- Partly cloudy in the morning then becoming sunny. Highs around 35. Variable wind 10 mph.

Tonight- Chance of snow in the evening, then snow and rain late. Snow accumulation around 1 inch. Lows 27 to 33. Southeast wind 10 mph.

Saturday- Decreasing clouds. Chance of rain and snow in the morning. Highs around 38. North wind 10 mph.

We have seen 9 days of sun and calm after several days of rains to our local summits.

The snowpack is quite stable at this time. Avalanche Danger is LOW today.

With less than 1\" new snow night before last, calm winds and no significant wind the avalanche danger will remain low today... tonight as we head into tomorrow temps warm up about 5 degrees and we should pick up 1-3\" snow at higher elevations. Winds remain somewhat calm. With these small snow volumes it should keep windloading to a minimum.

Always be looking for glide cracks and areas of glide to know when instability increases to this hazard in regions. If you see glide cracks simply avoid those areas.

Also be looking for small point release wet slides in the new surface snows during the heat of the day on S-SW Facing slopes.

Currently temps are 24f at Eaglecrest summit. Its currently 25f at the Tram Summit. Up 1f from yesterday. Winds are 4-6mph.

Have a great day.
