The Candidate Profile Statements are now available for review on our Certified Candidates webpage.  Candidate statements are optional and if a candidate chose not file a statement, that is noted on the webpage accordingly.

For those voters who wish to vote Early or Absentee, below are a list of options available:

ABSENTEE VOTING (also known as Early Voting)

A qualified voter may vote an absentee ballot for any reason. An absentee ballot may be cast in person, or requested from the election official in writing, by application with the voter’s signature. Absentee Ballots are available no later than September 17, 2018.

In-Person Absentee (Early) Voting:
Beginning September 17, 2018, Early/Absentee-In-Person voting will take place at the following locations/dates/times:

City Hall – 2nd Floor Conference Room 224 Foyer
September 17 – October 1, 2018
Monday – Friday: 8:00a.m. – 4:30p.m.

Mendenhall Mall Annex
September 17 – October 1, 2018
Monday through Friday: 11:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.
and
Saturdays Sept. 22 and 29: Noon – 4:00p.m.

By Mail:
Applications for By-Mail Ballots may be obtained in the Municipal Clerk’s Office or online at https://juneau.org/clerk/elections Applications for By-Mail Ballots must be received in the Municipal Clerk’s office no later than Tuesday, September 25, 2018. After September 25, please refer to Absentee Voting BY FAX.

By Electronic Transmission [Fax]:
Applications for By-Fax Ballots (electronic transmission) may be obtained in the Municipal Clerk’s Office or online at https://juneau.org/clerk/elections Applications for By-Fax Ballots must be received in the Municipal Clerk’s office no later than Monday, October 1, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.

By Personal Representative:
A qualified voter who is unable to go to the polling place on election day due to age, illness or disability, may appoint a personal representative to obtain a ballot for the voter on or after September 17, 2018, up to and including election day. Persons who are ill or unable to go to the polls, who still wish to vote and have not chosen one of the methods above, may contact the Clerk’s Office to make arrangements for an absentee ballot by personal representative.
