Fences
Overview
New construction and the replacement of fences need a building permit if the fence is over seven (7) feet tall.
Corner Lots
The maximum height of a sight obscuring fence within twenty (20) feet of a street intersection is three (3) feet. Vegetation shall also be maintained to a maximum height of three (3) feet within this area.
Historic District

Items to submit for permit application
Site Plan
- Site plan must be to scale
- Include dimensions of the fence
- Include accurate property line locations in relation to proposed fence
- Sample site plan provided here
Structural/Foundation Plan
- Designed by a structural or civil engineer
